What made you want to create your blog?
I was ghosted from a 4 year relationship when I was 20, and my mom had just moved to San Diego and was starting a whole new life. I was completely alone for months and had to heal on my own. I felt so alone, and at the time, none of my friendships were genuine. I decided to book a one-way ticket to Europe and find myself. After a month and a half on my own, traveling around Europe, learning life experiences, meeting new friends, etc., I quickly realized that I wanted to continue experiencing these things and thought about how I could earn money while traveling. That’s what triggered By Nica Linawhich then sparked my marketing agency She’s Out of Town!
Are you now a full-time creative?

What’s a shocking idea you’ve learned from owning a blog and running a business?
As someone who likes to be independent and doesn’t like asking for help, I quickly realized that running a business isn’t just for one person. Although I take pride in being able to complete all the tasks, keep the business running and move forward, I realize that I’m wearing myself out too quickly doing this and it’s not healthy for me. me to work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
It was then that I realized that I needed a team and that I had to delegate certain tasks to people who could do it better than me, so that I could focus on other things. .

I had such a happy experience at BlogHer Health. Being part of the event was such an honor, and for that, I will always be grateful for this opportunity. What does the VOTY award mean to you?
The price means a lot to me. It’s motivating and it makes me feel like I’m being seen for everything I’ve done to get to where I am today. It drives me to do more and do more! It makes me excited for more to come. This is an important step!
What was your biggest takeaway from the BlogHer Health event?
There are so many things about our health that I was not even aware of. For example, menopause. I had no idea it lasted a few years. It was honestly very shocking to me, and I was disappointed that we don’t have a lot of education about menopause, and we barely scratch the surface of women’s health.
